Terms of Use

These terms apply to Skipper, the iPhone app, and Skipper Pro. Skipper is made by Yoav Zoldan, an independent developer in Chile, under the name Zolgor ("we", "us"). By using Skipper you agree to these terms.

Skipper is licensed to you under Apple's Standard License Agreement for apps (EULA). These terms add to it; if they conflict, Apple's agreement applies. The Privacy Policy explains what data Skipper uses.

What Skipper does

Skipper helps you keep track of the shows and movies you watch, see where they're available to stream, get alerts about new episodes and releases, and plan which streaming services you pay for. Skipper doesn't stream video, and it isn't affiliated with the streaming services it mentions.

Free and Pro

Skipper is free to use, with ads. Skipper Pro is an optional subscription that removes ads and adds features, as described in the app. We may change which features are free or part of Pro; if we take a feature out of Pro, you keep it until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Subscriptions

• Skipper Pro is sold through Apple's App Store, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app before you buy. Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price and length, unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel it anytime in your Apple Account's subscription settings (in the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions). After cancelling, you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.
• Skipper Pro supports Family Sharing: people in your Apple family group can use it too.
• If we change the price, Apple tells you beforehand and, where required, asks for your agreement before renewing at the new price.

Information from other services

Title information comes from TMDB, and streaming availability comes from JustWatch through TMDB. Skipper uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. This information, including where a title is available, air dates and any prices you enter, can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and it changes by country. Please check with the streaming service before you subscribe to, pause or cancel anything. Skipper's suggestions about your services are ideas, not advice, and the decisions are yours.

Trakt

If you connect a Trakt account, your use of Trakt is covered by Trakt's own terms. Trakt may limit how many apps a free account can connect and how much it can sync. We're not responsible for Trakt's service or your Trakt account.

Using Skipper

Please use Skipper only for your personal, non-commercial use and within the law. Don't try to break, overload or reverse engineer the app or our server, get around its limits or Pro, or collect data from it or through it in bulk.

Your content

What you put in Skipper (your library, watch history, services and the prices you enter) is yours. It's stored on your device and in your iCloud account, and you're responsible for keeping your devices and accounts secure.

Ours

Skipper, its design, name and icon belong to us. Titles' images and information belong to their owners and are shown through TMDB. Streaming services' names and logos belong to their owners.

No warranty

We work hard to make Skipper useful and reliable, but to the extent the law allows, it's provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that its information will be accurate.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by information from other services or by decisions you make based on it (such as subscribing to or cancelling a streaming service). Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid for Skipper Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Your rights as a consumer

If you use Skipper as a consumer, you keep all the rights the consumer protection laws of your country give you, including Chile's Consumer Protection Law (Law 19,496). Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

Changes and ending

We may update Skipper and these terms. If we change the terms in a significant way, we'll update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change takes effect. You can stop using Skipper anytime by deleting it and cancelling any subscription. We may stop offering Skipper; if we do, we'll give notice in the app, and paid subscriptions follow Apple's rules for refunds.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Santiago, Chile, unless the law of your country gives you the right to go to your local courts. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to solve it.
